ComboMusic is an international crowdfunding platform for realizing musical projects and supporting artists (singles, albums, music videos, launch performances, etc.). The venture offers solutions for musicians at every stage of their careers, according to a model where fans provide financial backing for artists to perform and publicize their work. The musicians present their work to the audience while it is still in the planning stage, with a video sketch that they produce themselves. The audience then decides whether to fund the project.
The uniqueness of this initiative is that the audience becomes a partner in both production and profits. Once the musicians have raised the required amount, they begin production. After distribution, if there are profits, they are equally divided between the creators and the investors – who are, in fact, the fans. According to this model, even if the musicians are unsuccessful in reaching their fundraising goals, they gain exposure and a direct connection with their audience.
Another funding track is for listeners to support an artist with a fixed monthly amount, receiving VIP services from the musician in return.
ComboMusic is an innovative model which seeks to redefine the crowdfunding model in the music industry, creating a new space of opportunities for independent creators.
