Nazra (“point of view” in Arabic) is a place to meet with and within the Bedouin community through art and culture. It is a home for artists from the Bedouin community, a place for training and development that will allow them to turn their art into a source of employment. Its doors are open to anyone interested in studying art based on Bedouin Arab culture. In this way, it is strengthening the creative economy and increasing recognition of local art and culture.
Nazra works to reinforce the intergenerational connection in the community through contemporary art based on Bedouin culture and tradition, and to bring together various other Israeli communities with the Bedouin community from a place of creativity, art, and innovation. The initiative will operate a gallery to showcase the Bedouin community and hold various art workshops.
